Be Strong and Courageous - Youth Discipleship Programme
Are you looking for a place where your teenager can grow stronger — in body, mind, and spirit? Introducing “Be Strong and Courageous”, a Friday night youth gym session for 13–19 year-olds, inspired by Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Every Friday (starting 6 March 2026) from 7:00–8:30 PM, teenagers are invited to a supportive and empowering environment where they can learn to keep fit, develop healthy habits, and discover their own strength. Our sessions are led by Lloyd Dyke, an ex-Royal Marine Commando, personal trainer, and man of faith, who brings both experience and heart to each evening. Having served in Afghanistan and Iraq, Lloyd knows what it means to face challenges, search for purpose, and ultimately find transformation through Jesus.
The programme is designed to meet teenagers where they are. All fitness levels are welcome — whether your teen has never stepped foot in a gym or is already training, they will receive guidance and encouragement to grow physically and personally. Each session includes a workout led by Lloyd and his team, followed by a cool-down and a faith-inspired discussion. This is a safe space for teenagers to explore life, ask questions, share experiences, and learn what it means to be strong and courageous in today’s challenging world.
Our goal is more than fitness. We want to help teenagers develop confidence, character, and resilience — equiping them to face pressures around identity, self-worth, and the future. Through the guidance of Scripture, open conversation, and the support of mentors who genuinely care, participants will gain tools to thrive in mind, body, and soul, and discover how faith can make a difference in everyday life.
“Be Strong and Courageous” is for everyone — whether your teen is curious about faith, seeking guidance, or already a follower of Jesus. It’s a welcoming place to connect, grow, and belong, where teenagers can learn, train, and live courageously.
Get to know Lloyd Dyke
Hi, I’m Lloyd Dyke — an ex-Royal Marine Commando, experienced personal trainer, father, husband, and Christian speaker. Fitness and faith have both shaped who I am, and I’m passionate about helping people transform their lives — mind, body, and soul.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping over 50 men and women achieve their goals, mainly focusing on weight loss, gut health, and conditions like IBS. I believe fitness isn’t just about exercise; it’s about creating sustainable habits that strengthen your body, improve your health, and boost your confidence.
Faith plays a central role in my life. It shapes my values, my choices, and my heart. I’ve seen firsthand how life changes when people find purpose and strength — in fitness, in character, and in their relationship with God.
I have a heart for transformation. Whether it’s improving health, building strength, or finding direction in life, I’m committed to walking alongside anyone who wants to take that journey.
